Florida Congressman Who Advocated Drug Testing For Welfare Recipients Sentenced For Cocaine Possession.

Florida congressman Henry “Trey” Radel was advocated drug testing for welfare recipients pleading guilty in D.C. Superior Court to a misdemeanor charge of possession of cocaine and sentenced to probation.

“Radel, 37, a Republican who was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives last year with the backing of the conservative Tea Party movement, was charged after buying 3.5 grams of cocaine in Washington’s Dupont Circle neighborhood on October 29 in the presence of an undercover agent, the government said.

In Collier County, Florida, which Radel represents in Congress, Democrats called for Radel’s resignation and accused him of hypocrisy for, among other things, opposing the legalization of medical marijuana and advocating drug testing for welfare recipients.”

Henry “Trey” Radel a tax paid elected official is a hypocrite when he argues that he wants people who receive welfare to be drug tested so that tax payers money will not be used to purchase drugs. This is why I continue to argues that any elected officials that are paid with tax paper money should be drug tested so tax payer funds are not used to purchase 3.5 grams of cocaine from undercover agents.
